Skilled Labourer - North West Victoria

We are looking for a Skilled Labourer to join our team working in and around North West Victoria. 

Bowden Corporation is a tier 3 commercial construction company that has been in operation since 2001. We operate across Melbourne and regional Victoria, most often on projects that make a difference to the community such as schools, social housing, emergency services and local council infrastructure.

We are seeking a skilled labourer to join our team working in and around North West Victoria. 

The role would start on a casual basis, with a view to become permanent.

You will move between sites, depending on the different projects' requirements.

A typical day includes completing allocated hands-on trade tasks in line with project requirements, such as demolition, light carpentry activities and general builder's duties.  

You will also assist:

• The Site Manager to manage visitors and suppliers, and maintain a clean work site at all times.
• With the management of materials arriving on site, movement and storage.
• With setting up access equipment.

Other duties may be given, depending on the tickets held.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Previous construction labouring experience
• Ideally, have some carpentry experience
• Take a practical approach, and work through problems
• Be physically fit and able to carry out manual work
• Listen to, and be able to follow instructions
• Be proactive and consistently complete tasks
• Good planning, organisation and time management skills
• Able to adapt to changing and diverse needs
• Be a team player with good communication skills
• Able to build strong working relationships 

You will need to have: 

• The right to work in Australia
• A current Victorian licence and your own transportation
• Completed Construction Industry Induction / White Card / Red Card
• A current Working With Children Check
